Becky Arden
Becky is a former student of Abigail Francisco School of Classical Ballet, studying under Ms. Abigail directly for over 10 years.
She started dancing at the age of 10, studying Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Pilates, Broadway, and Musical Theater.
She had the opportunity to perform in a variety of classical ballet’s under Ms. Abigail, including Swan Lake, Jardin Anime, Sleeping Beauty, Les Sylphides, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, and The Nutcracker, along with Fosse and Broadway dances. She also performed Ms. Abigail’s original choreography in Printemps Parisien.
She participated in many workshops and master classes with professional dancers including Luis Torres, Lainie Munroe, Sascha Radetsky, Stephanie Waltz, and Dylan Pearce.
During her time as a student, she had the privilege to travel to St. Petersburg, Russia in 2007 with Ms. Abigail and other students and teachers from the studio, to attend the Dance Open Festival and take classes with International Ballet Instructors.
Becky attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Journalism, with an emphasis in Broadcasting.
Upon relocating back to Southern Maryland in 2015, she had the opportunity to work with Ms. Abigail, taking on the role of School Administrator. In 2022, she became the Executive Director of the studio, at the same time that the school was rebranded to North Beach School of Dance.
She is fortunate to have the ability to continue the traditions upon which the studio is built, including respect, discipline, and love. Becky has a long-standing devotion, passion, and dedication to the studio, its students, families, and teachers. Becky is grateful for the opportunity to continue the legacy of the studio, while nurturing and promoting its growth, all while bringing dance and the arts to the community and youth.
