History
Abigail Francisco School of Classical Ballet was founded in 1986 by Abigail Francisco. In June 2022, the school was renamed North Beach School of Dance and in July 2023, was purchased by former student and School Administrator Rebecca Arden. The staff consists of eight professionally trained, experienced teachers. They continue to perform and take classes as well as teach courses in order to provide students with updated techniques and choreography. The school offers quality Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theater, and Contemporary to children, teens, and adults of all skill levels. Guest teachers and master classes are offered on a regular basis. The two studios are equipped with professional-grade spring floors, state-of-the-art audio equipment, and safety cameras. There is a comfortable waiting room, two restrooms, and dressing rooms.
Mission
Our mission is to find the dancer within. Through dance, The North Beach School of Dance’s goal is to instill a sense of self-confidence and to build self-esteem by developing poise and coordination, rhythm, flexibility, and general body development.
Vision
The North Beach School of Dance offers a complete program of physical, emotional and artistic support to their students. We are at the forefront when the subject is quality, responsibility, respect, professionalism and seriousness.
Ethics
We offer training for those aiming for a professional dance career or those enjoying dance as recreation. We appreciate and respect both purposes and offer a secure and supportive environment. As natural and early talent are not the only keys to success, we help our students thrive by learning the dance skills through hard work, repetition and discipline. We care about and protect our students.
